Informational infographics can be used to guide readers to a specific call-to-action through a series of steps or explain a topic in a simplified list or bullet format. The right mix of text and visual elements ensures that your audience is hooked from start to finish.

Timeline infographics

These are meant for presenting information to your audience in chronological order. So, whether you want to show how a particular aspect of our business has evolved over time or, perhaps, showcase your brand history to, say, an investor or stakeholder, then a timeline infographic will more than get the job done.

Process infographics

Process infographics typically make use of diagrams, flowcharts and, at times, event timelines to guide readers through multiple steps toward a call-to-action. This can greatly simplify the decision making process for them, so that they can understand the key benefit of a particular product or service, once you showcase how it works.

These kind of infographics are especially useful for explaining step-by-step business processes to customers or for giving a specific set of instructions to employees.

Hierarchical Infographics

Hierarchical Infographics can be very effective when used under the right circumstances – they feature information in a pyramid format to display different levels of information.

Therefore, if organising information according to different levels is the goal – e.g. according to level of importance, difficult or priority – then a hierarchical infographic would be an excellent choice.

List infographics

As the name suggests, list infographics are used for summarising and presenting list-based information. So, for example, this could be a list of factors, items or steps toward the greater goal or a call-to-action.

Businesses tend to use this type of infographic for summing up a listicle blog post or perhaps, a how-to article. List infographics actually get shared around a lot on social media as they are very straightforward, easy to follow, and super-fun to read!

Comparison infographics

Comparison infographics really come into their own when it comes to comparing multiple concepts, objects, products, brands or people. By visually comparing ideas through an infographic, you can highlight similarities and/or differences in an interesting way.
